Richard Davison Wins World Cup Qualifier in Lipica, Solvinia


British Team Rider, Richard Davison won the  Dressage World Cup Qualifier Competition in Lipica, Sezana, Solvinia on his 11-year old Artemis the Westphalen gelding by Floristan. After four days of competition, a CDI held May 28-30, 2010 culminated with the FEI Freestyle Test to Music in the Grand Prix. There were over 128 competitors from 20 different nations, held at the historic Lipica Stud Farm in Solvinia, celebrating 430 years. British Team Rider Richard Davidson on Artemis won the Grand Prix for the Freestyle with a 70.681% then went onto to top the Freestyle  with a  (76.050 %).

After the competition Victoire Mandl, the chief of the jury commented that the competition was on very high level. In 2011 she expects even moore competitors as they told her they were very satisfied with organisation, service and that they liked the relaxed atmosphere between competitors.
