One of the world’s largest clothing retailers H&M will become a new sponsor of Longines Global Champions Tour of Hamburg. The exciting new collaboration will be launched in Germany, where the 5th leg of the world’s premier show jumping circuit will take place in May.
H&M has a strong heritage in show jumping and has a sponsored team of riders: Malin Baryard-Johnsson, Peder Fredricson and the twin brothers Nicola and Olivier Philippaerts, who will be riding in Hamburg where over 85,000 spectators attended last year.
"It's going to be exciting to see our four riders in Hamburg, especially since we recently expanded Team H&M with Nicola and Olivier Philippaerts," says Petra Leijon af Burén, H&M sponsoring manager for show jumping. "H&M is an international company and it feels natural to be a part of the Global Champions Tour, which is an international venture, taking place in interesting places around the world. This sponsorship gives fans of Team H&M a chance to follow them at our Facebook page 'We Love Horses', the most fashionable meeting place for everyone who loves horses and fashion."
Jan Tops, Founder and President of the Longines Global Champions Tour, said: “I am delighted that H&M, one of the most successful retailers in the world, is becoming a sponsor at our event in Hamburg. I look forward to our collaboration at this very popular event in our 10th Anniversary Year.”
In an exclusive interview for E Magazine for Longines Global Champions Tour, Olympic medallist Malin spoke of the “privilege” of being an H&M ambassador and said of the collaboration with Longines Global Champions Tour: “I think the Global Champions Tour is great for our sport.”
