Win a golf cart courtesy of Southern Lawn and Equipment on Friday, October 31! 

Lexington, KY - October 15, 2014 -  On Friday, October 31, horse-crazy youth from around the region are invited to put the horses out to pasture and pull on their costumes for Barn Night at the National Horse Show.  Meet all-star equestrians and show your barn spirit for a chance to win prizes, including a golf cart courtesy of Southern Lawn and Equipment.

Open to young riders, equestrian groups and kids who simply love horses, budding equestrians are invited to join us for the second annual Barn Night at the National Horse Show, Halloween night - Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 at the Alltech Arena in the Kentucky Horse Park. Make banners and dress in costume to participate in spirit competitions held during the evening's events. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes and best spirit during the evening's equestrian competition, which features the Chansonette Farm $45,000 Gambler's Choice Costume Class at 7 p.m. 

The golf cart will be awarded to the Largest Group with a unique theme or the best creative costumes. Prizes will also be awarded for Best Group Spirit, Best Group Costume and Best Individual Costume.

To be eligible for Barn Night prizes, registration is required.

About the National Horse Show
The National Horse Show was once again named the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame's Horse Show of the Year and was again named as one of NARG's (North American Riders Group) top rated North American events.

With $755,000 in prize money offered, this year's show has been designated a CSI-W 4* show by the FEI. The International Open Jumpers will compete for $460,000 in prize money, while the top rated hunter sections have a total purse of $195,000. Meanwhile, $100,000 in total is offered to the Amateur-Owner and U 25 Jumper sections.

Tickets for each prime-time show on Thursday evening, Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday daytime can be purchased now at NHS.org or by here.

All evening sessions begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
