Wellington, FL – At the Wellington Classic Dressage Autumn Challenge held in conjuction with the 2014 GAIG USDF Region 3 Championships this October, dressage arena and footing company Premier Equestrian will not only be cheering on the first-place winners. Premier Equestrian will be recognizing competitors who have great attitudes toward their horses and other riders and staff—whether they’re winners or not. Premier will present the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award to the rider who demonstrates the most exemplary sportsmanship at the Autumn Challenge, which is held in conjuction with the Regional Championships. “We take pride in recognizing riders who are not only competitive, but kind and friendly to other competitors and show staff, put their horse first, and contribute to a positive overall atmosphere,” said Heidi Zorn, president and founder of Premier. “Premier Equestrian is dedicated to dressage and our goal is to provide safe and functional products. We want to promote the well-being of the horse and industry and are proud to sponsor this award.”
Zorn and her company will honor the winner of the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award with a lovely tri-colored ribbon, a gift certificate to Premier Equestrian, and a copy of “The Horse Angels” (a recently published novel by Mark Neihart, CEO of Premier Equestrian). The 2014 GAIG USDF Region 3 Championships/ Wellington Classic Dressage Autumn Challenge will take place at the Global Dressage Stadium at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida from October 16-19.
Showing appreciation for equestrians who truly love to ride and give back to their horses and riding community is something that Premier does every day, even when not giving out the Sportsmanship Award. Premier Equestrian strives to craft dressage arenas, horse arena footing, horse jumps, barn equipment, and accessories that are affordable and high-quality. The company has grown since its beginning in 2000 to currently being recognized as a leading manufacturer of specialized arena footing and dressage arenas. Premier puts the safety and happiness of horses and riders first, and is excited to celebrate equestrians who do the same at the 2014 Great American Insurance Group USDF Region 3 Championships/ Wellington Classic Dressage Autumn Challenge.
