Sandy, UT -  While Premier Equestrian has been a leader in equestrian footing and products for riders and trainers across the United States, it has also become the preferred choice of top Olympic and highly decorated riders in the US for more than a decade.  From some of America’s most decorated dressage riders, to Olympic eventers and world-class show jumpers, Premier has been setting the standard in footing, jumps, and equestrian products from coast to coast.

One of the newest additions to Premier’s lineup of riders, 2008 and 2012 Olympic rider Steffen Peters, recently refurbished the arenas at his Del Mar, California training facility with Premier’s Master’s Blend footing.  After riding in countless arenas and at some of the most prestigious shows in the world, from Aachen to the Olympics, Peters and his wife Shannon selected Premier to help them continue to make strides in American dressage.  Peters and Legolas 92 recently returned to the US after competing for the US at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France.  “Master’s Blend is the best footing we have ever ridden on,” stated Peters.

Another highly decorated Olympic dressage star to prefer Premier is Debbie McDonald, who made history with her famous mare Brentina.  The chestnut Hannoverian mare by Bretano II became one of the most successful US dressage horses in history under McDonald’s training.  The pair won Team Bronze Medal at the 2006 World Equestrian Games, a Team Bronze Medal at the Athens Olympics, were the first US pair ever to win the 2003 World Cup Final, in addition to multiple CDI wins.  Brentina was retired at the 2009 Las Vegas World Cup, and in honor of the mare and her rider, Premier’s Brentina Dressage Arena is named for their amazing career and contributions to US dressage.

Premier’s long legacy with McDonald extended to her protégé, Adrienne Lyle.  Now an Olympian herself having ridden Individually for the US at the 2012 London Games, Lyle and her mount Wizard also recently represented the US at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in France.  The arenas at River Grove Farm in Idaho, home base for Lyle and McDonald, recently underwent a facelift, bringing their footing back up to world-class quality so they can continue to achieve internationall success, compliments of Premier Equestrian.

And dressage riders aren’t the only ones relying on Premier Equestrian.  The 2008 Olympic Eventing Silver Medalist Gina Miles recently installed Premier’s SandAid Horse Arena Stabilizer to their arenas, and could not be happier with the result.  “It has all the positive attributes of our previous footing, with none of the negatives,” said Miles.  “Our previous footing, while fantastic for competition, was a bit firm for everyday riding.  The new SandAid mix is being used for dressage and jumping work, and it is equally suited for both.  The horses can go through a line of jumps without the usual maintenance we’d need o to keep the footing level, and we’ve been pleasantly surprised at how the SandAid additive changed our basic sand and added stability while retaining a high level of cushion.”

Premier is also proud to announce their sponsorship of US Eventing extraordinaire, Kim Severson.  As a Four Star international competitor and Olympic Silver Medalist, Severson is one of the finest event riders in the world.  Premier Equestrian is excited to be a part of her continued success, and was thrilled to help her with building her jumping arena on her new farm and home for Kim Severson Eventing, LLC in Charlottesville, VA.  “Kim installed our Athletex Footing and the Premier Hydro-Keep in her new arena, and she loves it,” stated Heidi Zorn, President of Premier Equestrian, LLC.  “She had an arena contractor build a base, and Premier helped guide her to find the sand.”

Premier Equestrian is the Official Dressage Arena of the USEF, North American Young Riders and U.S. Dressage Finals, and since 2000 has offered serious equestrians affordable arenas, built from quality materials. Its dressage and driving arenas were featured at the 2010 World Equestrian Games and its Arena Footing is installed at The Del Mar National and World Dressage Masters.
