The 15th annual Youth Dressage Festival is fast approaching! This year it will be on July 12-14 at HITS in Saugerties, NY. We have an exciting group of judges and look forward to seeing all our old friends and making new ones. Manditory Health Certificates for LDYF! Do not forget to bring the health certificate and proof of vaccines to LYDF. It is mandatory for access to show grounds. You must have copies with you when you arrive, even if it was submitted earlier. Find the form HERE<<<
Complimentary Massages for horses!
Bonnie Stetson, BS, LMT, USPC Grad. A of Centaure Massage will be at LYDF giving complimentary 30 minute massages to the competitors' horses! If you are interested in getting a massage for your horse please have your vet fill out the vet approval form found here <<<
Need a team?
If you need a team or have a spot open on your team for LYDF keep an eye on our Facebook page<<< Many people post if they are looking for a team or have a spot open. Among them: Susan Lomax-Rainville and Cheryl Talamini have an open spots on their team and Tasha Mitchell is looking for a team.
Just like last year there will be an award for the highest scoring Fjord at LYDF. It did not appear in the prize list. Wendy Luscombe donated the award and we are excited to see who will take it home this year.
Meagan Davis will be a roving trainer on Saturday only.
Friday Test Help
Joy Black will be available on Friday at 5:15pm in the VIP tent. During this 30-minute session she will be covering important material about using the scantron sheets. If you are coming to LYDF for the first time or never used a scantron this will be very helpful to attend.
Arriving as a group?
If you are arriving for the Festival with multiple horses it is highly recommended that you send someone ahead of time to set up the stalls. This will make things faster and easier for your group and everyone around you.
Night Watch Available
There will be a night watch available this year at LYDF. Have peace of mind that your horse is in good hands and being checked on every few hours during the night. For $10 a horse per night you will have:
-Your horse checked every 3 ½ hours from 8pm-7am
-Water checked, night check hay and grain given
-Morning hay and grain given

Pre-Order Hay and Shavings
Please preorder your hay and shavings before July 8th! You will be able to order upon arrival, but HITs cannot guarantee a speedy delivery.
SHAVINGS: $8.00 PER BAG
HAY: $9.00 PER BALE
Final date for ordering: July 8, 2013.
PLEASE EMAIL YOUR ORDER TO: Fern Feldman, FERNF@COX.NET. Give your name (as the competitor), and the number of bags of shavings and/or bales of hay. If possible, please also include an email address and a cell phone number.
So, do not forget:
- Sign your horse up for Night Watch
- Preorder hay and shavings
- Check your times
- Do not arrive before 3pm on Thursday
- Do not ask about changing your stabling

2013 Emerging Athlete Students
Emerging Dressage Athlete Program Clinics are being scheduled all over the USA! These clinics not only provide lessons with a top instructor, but also additional education opportunities throughout the day. There will be an EDAP clinic in June in Michigan, with others being scheduled soon.
