Pony Lane Farm Returns as Sponsor of the High Performance Hunters at Alltech National Horse Show

Lexington, KY - February 20, 2012 - The Alltech National Horse Show, 129th Edition, is pleased to announce that Pony Lane Farm has agreed to return as the sponsors of the highly-competitive High Performance Hunter Division. The second edition of the Alltech National Horse Show will be staged at the world-renowned Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The show will be held on October 31 through November 4, 2012 at the Alltech Arena.

The extraordinary debut of the Alltech National Horse Show last year was a tremendous success and was recently honored with the top ranking for any American horse show in the annual North American Riders Group (NARG) review of the Top 25 shows in North America.

In addition to the top Jumper divisions with the nation's best indoor prize money, the Alltech National Horse Show will continue to feature world-class hunter competition, including the Pony Lane Farm sponsored High Performance Hunter Division.

"We are simply delighted that Pony Lane Farm has elected to rejoin us for the second year in a row at the Alltech National Horse Show," said Mason Phelps, Jr., the President of the National Horse Show Association. "The entire staff at the show worked very hard to present a first-class hunter production, and for all of us, it is rewarding to know that sponsors like Pony Lane Farm recognized that effort and have reaffirmed their support of our horse show. We promise that the hunter divisions will be even better in 2012," he said.

Pony Lane Farm, the leading USEF Hunter Owners for the 2009 and 2010 show seasons, is not only the home base for young riders Kelsey and Madeline Thatcher, but also home to popular breeding stallion Klotaire Du Moulin. Klotaire is by the legendary stallion Voltaire and is sire of many of this country's top hunters. Klotaire competed this past summer in the Super League, winning top prizes at La Baule, Rome, Rotterdam and Dublin. Klotaire continues to compete in the U.S. at the Grand Prix level with owner Kelsey Thatcher and rider Maggie Jayne.

"I love the hunters and feel the High Performance Division is an opportunity to really show the athleticism of our hunters," Pony Lane Farm owner, Maura Thatcher said last year when coming on board for the first time.

Alltech National Horse Show Manager Hugh Kincannon spoke of the hunters at the show, saying, "In the hunter divisions, we offered the most significant amount of prize money for any horse show anywhere in the United States and we have the greatest facility in the country. We are proud that the North American Riders Group (NARG) recognized our hard work with the top ranking that the Alltech National Horse Show received in their recent review of the Top 25 Horse Shows in North America."

Speaking on joining forces with the Alltech National Horse Show, Thatcher added, "I decided to sponsor at the Alltech National Horse Show because I enjoy the indoor circuit and understand the challenges of putting on a show that has so much tradition."

"The hunters have always been a very special part of the National Horse Show," Phelps added. "Pony Lane Farm's involvement in the High Performance Hunters helps us continue to make sure they shine in 2012 as well."

The Alltech National Horse Show, 129th Edition, will be held from October 31 through November 4, 2012 at the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. The show will feature a complete schedule of 'AA'-rated hunter divisions, a big money Open Jumper division, and as always, the signature event of the National Horse Show, the ASPCA Alfred B. Maclay Finals.
