Slatington, PA – Mo and Jim Swanson are excited to announce that Pierre St. Jacques has accepted the position of head trainer at their Rolling Stone Farm in Slatington, PA. They welcome Pierre, his wife Samantha and their 15-month-old son, Stirling to the beautiful Lehigh Valley in northeastern PA. Both Pierre and Samantha compete at the international level and have represented their nations at Olympic Games, Pan American Games and in many countries all over the world – Pierre in dressage for the U.S. and Samantha in eventing for Canada. Pierre has over twenty years’ experience training dressage horses and riders. He and his longtime equine partner, Lucky Tiger, were members of the Gold Medal Winning U.S. Dressage Team at the 2003 Pan American Games.
Pierre and Tiger have had great success at the Grand Prix level over the past few years. In June 2012, they competed at the U.S. Olympic Selection Trials that were held in Gladstone. They scored a 69.999% in the Grand Prix Special and a 71.34% in the Grand Prix to finish eighth overall. Most recently, at Dressage at Devon 2012, they placed second in both the FEI Grand Prix (70.745%) and second in the Grand Prix Musical Freestyle (73.550%).
Rolling Stone Farm is a successful large German Oldenburg and Hanoverian breeding farm that stands six stallions, including the homebred Shakespeare RSF (Sandro Hit), Sir James (Sir Donnerhall), Fhitzgerald (Florencio), foundation stallion Gold Luck (Grundstein), and two recently licensed homebreds – Shotgun (Shakespeare RSF) and Dheputy (Dauphin). Mo is the breeder of the 2011 Grand Champion at Dressage at Devon and the breeder of the 2012 Dressage at Devon Filly Champion, Reserve Champion Young Horse and Young Prospect Champion. She also bred the 2012 National Champion FEI 6-year-old dressage horse, and both division winners of the Young Hunter Under Saddle at the 2012 Devon Horse Show. In addition to her stallions, Mo has a broodmare band of 45 mares, most of them with the titles of Elite Mare, Verbands Premium or Special Premium.
