Pan Am Gold Medalist, Weltino's Magic Offered for Sale!

Weltino's Magic, the 10-year-old Westphalian gelding (Weltino x Diamond Boy) owned by Jen and Hlavacek and ridden by Steffen Peters to the top  of international competition is being offered for sale. "Magic", as he is know to his fans, was originally started by Steffen's wife Shannon who also showed him to the reserve championship at the 2008 Markel/USEF National Young Horse Championships as a 6-year-old. In 2011, Peters and Magic went undefeated with wins at the prestigious CHIO Aachen were they won the small tour and became the first Americans to do so! The pair then went on to win the National Championship at the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Festival of Champions sweeping the top three placings. Crowning off the year was a double Gold medal performance at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Throughout his career, Magic has earned many accolades such as the USDF Prix St. Georges Horse of the Year, USDF Intermediaire-I Horse of the Year, Intermediaire Freestyle Horse of the Year and the 2011 USEF Dressage Horse of the Year.

The decision to sell Magic was not an easy one for his devoted owners who have sited it as a business decision. The couple have stated that in selling Magic they are moving out of the sport of dressage as well and will not be buying another horse. Jen stated that "Magic will always be the horse of my dreams.." Magic is being offered for sale at $750,000.
