Pablo Barrios Continues Domination of Hagyard Challenge Series

Lexington, KY - After an exciting second place finish during yesterday's $30,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic Pablo Barrios (VEN) has extended his lead in the 2010 Hagyard Challenge Series. After having a one-two finish during last week's class, Barrios stepped up to the plate again and finished second yesterday with G & C LaGran.

Marilyn-Little Meredith was the first place finisher with Blue Curacao in an exciting 13-horse jump-off during yesterday's competition. Her excellent effort has moved her into the second place position in the standings. Junior rider Reed Kessler has finished fourth during both of the Hagyard events with Mika, and has retained the third place honors in the standings.

The Hagyard Challenge Series is a summer-long series of five show jumping events at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, host of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™. The rider who accumulates the most points in the series will receive a $50,000 Leading Rider Award, presented after the $50,000 Hagyard CSI-W Lexington Classic held on August 20, 2010, during the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show.

This award would not be possible without many generous sponsors including presenting sponsor Adequan®; Dean Dorton Ford; Pfizer Animal Health; Hagyard Flex-Tra 200; Kathleen Sullivan, CIMA, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney; Turf Town Properties; Audi of Lexington; and The Spa at Griffin Gate Resort.
