Toronto, Canada— Omega Alpha Ambassadors represented the complete spectrum of the Three-Day Eventing medals podium at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada. American rider Lauren Kieffer anchored her squad to Team Gold, while Canadian Jessica Phoenix clinched the Individual Silver and shared the Team Bronze medal with Colleen Loach and the rest of her stellar team.
Making her first Pan American Games appearance, Kieffer, riding Meadowbrook’s Scarlett, helped polish the U.S. Three-Day team's efforts for Gold with penalty-free performances in cross country and stadium jumping. “I'm very proud and glad we accomplished the mission we came on. Our team had great camaraderie, not just between riders, but also among all support staff. It takes a special group to mesh so well. I'm also incredibly proud of my horse, Meadowbrook's Scarlett,” the 28 year-old American and Omega Alpha Ambassador said.
Kieffer makes sure to keep her horses like Meadowbrook’s Scarlett healthy and competition-ready by using Omega Alpha products. “My horses always travel on Omega Alpha’s Gastra-FX. Scarlett uses Sinew-X and Biotic-8, and we always keep Chill with us at competitions for those really exciting moments when you want to keep them happy and relaxed,” she explained. “I love Omega Alpha— not just because all their products work, but because I can trust them.”
Omega Alpha Ambassador and 2011 Pan American Games Gold medalist Jessica Phoenix was again the pride of Canada— and Omega Alpha, too— as the 31-year-old eventer took two trips to the podium. She and Pavarotti accepted the Individual Silver medal and celebrated with her squadmates as Canada earned the Team Bronze medal.
Colleen Loach, a longtime customer of Omega Alpha, joined Phoenix on the Canadian team along with Kathryn Robinson on Let It Bee and Waylon Roberts on Bill Owen. Loach, 32, was representing Canada in her inaugural Pan American competition, having first made headlines in 2003 as part of the Bronze medal-winning team for the North American equestrian championships. She continued that superb legacy in the irons in Toronto, riding Qorry Blue d'Argouges to one of the squad's strongest dressage scores and, like Phoenix, delivering clean efforts in cross country and stadium.
Proudly cheering each trip to the podium was Canadian-based Omega Alpha Pharmaceuticals. Patti Hanco, Director of Business Development for Omega Alpha’s equine division, explained “Omega Alpha has enjoyed a long relationship with American eventer Lauren Kieffer. We are very proud of her and her horse's accomplishments. Winning Gold for her country is exceptional. Two of Team Canada's Bronze medalists, Jessica Phoenix and Coleen Loach, also have a lengthy history using Omega Alpha products. We beamed with pride when Jessie won Gold at the last Pan Ams in Guadalajara, and it was no surprise to that she medalled again in Toronto. We've also had Colleen as a loyal customer for many years and know how much she deserved her spot on this team. We take such pride in watching them ride. There is no better feeling than seeing them excel.”
