Not only Olympic riders, but also horses are competing at San Patrignano. Only a week before the start of the London games, some riders have chosen to bring their Olympic mounts to San Patrignano to work out the last kinks before traveling to the UK.
Among those present Kiamon, ridden by Switzerland's Werner Muff and Watch me Mangelaar, under Australian Matt Williams. Kianon is a 2002 gelding by Kolibri, and will be participating in the classes with jumps at 1.4m, probably avoiding the final Grand Prix on Sunday. Watch Me Mangelaar, a 2003 KWP gelding by Heartbreaker. At only nine years of age, this will be his first Olympics, while he has already participated in several Nations' Cups.
