Olympic Dressage News From Courtney King-Dye

So we are nearing the end of the countdown... 2 days till take off (July 30)! The time in Aachen (where most teams are in required quarantine before the trip) has been fantastic. What a perfect facility, exceptionally run, and even the sun is shining and heating up Germany to prepare us for Hong Kong! Myth

Harmony's Mythilus, owned by Harmony Amateur Sports Foundation, and Idocus owned by Christine McCarthy, are both doing well; Idy has been trying to prove that he is the horse who should be on the plane to Hong Kong, but Myth is steadily countering that. I feel so incredibly lucky to be riding two such world class horses and to actually be going to an Olympic Games!

It is all my life's dreams and efforts coming true!

Laura Satterfield, my working student at home flew over yesterday in order to fly home with Idy, Grandioso (owned by Kim Boyer of Hampton Green Farm), and Viva (my daschund)! They will leave from Amsterdam just a few hours after we leave with the Team to HK on Wednesday.

I am sad to see them go, but the time has been great for both of them with much help from Klaus on Grandioso (on left), and Idocus thoroughly enjoying another great adventure in his long career. Then the focus is only on Myth and creating the best test I can for the the Harmony team, numerous supporters, my Team (what an incomparable feeling to be part of a Team!), and my country. Wow!
