Olympians and Former Rolex Winners David and Karen O’Connor to Sign Autographs at Their Very Own O’Connor Signature at The Oaks of Lake City Equestrian Community Booth at Rolex

Lexington, KY – Three-day eventing legends David and Karen O’Connor have left their mark on the eventing world, not only in bringing home Olympic medals but by also winning the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event numerous times. While the O’Connors won’t be competing at this year’s Rolex, April 23-26 at the Kentucky Horse Park, they will be on hand for the festivities -- including signing autographs and promoting their O’Connor Signature at The Oaks of Lake City Equestrian Community.

The O’Connor’s have partnered with Equestrian Services, LLC, to open their inaugural O’Connor Signature Equestrian Facility at The Oaks Equestrian Community, located in Lake City, Florida. The beautiful state-of-the-art riding facility, complete with a cross country course designed by the O’Connor’s, is situated in an equestrian community designed to enhance the equestrian lifestyle.

“David and Karen’s name draws a lot of people to our Northern Florida location, where we have raised the equestrian lifestyle to a whole new level,” said Jon Jackson, Director of Sales at The Oaks of Lake City. “We are really pleased that they will be at our booth at the Rolex to sign autographs. When it comes to eventing, and the Rolex, David and Karen’s careers can’t be matched.”

David, who is the current president of the United States Equestrian Federation and has retired from international competition, may be best known for bringing home the first eventing Gold Medal for the United States at the 2000 Sydney Olympics on Custom Made. David’s career history wouldn’t be complete, however, without mentioning that he’s won Rolex twice as a three-star and once as a four-star.

Karen’s eventing career is just as remarkable, most recently piloting the late headline-making Theodore O’Connor to many victories, including winning the Individual Gold Medal and the team Gold Medal at the Pan Am Games in Brazil in 2007. Karen’s Rolex history rivals her husband’s -- in 1991 she won the Rolex for the first time riding Mr. Maxwell, a feat she repeated in 1997 aboard Worth the Trust and again in 1999 with Prince Panache.

Horse enthusiasts at the Rolex Three-Day Event will get a chance to meet the O’Connors at The Oaks of Lake City booth and learn more about their inaugural O’Connor Signature Equestrian Facility which is welcoming to all riding disciplines and includes a 33-stall barn, a 122’ x 225’ covered riding arena, a 60 foot covered round pen with world-class footing, 15 miles of looped trails and the O’Connor designed 11 acre cross-country jumping course.
