Nick Wagman Wins the High Performance Intermediaire I CDI

Nick Wagman won first place in the highly competitive High Performance Intermediare I class on Saturday with his lovely 16.2 hand Dutch warmblood mare, Uforia who is by Negro out of Montana who is by Fruhling. This was only the seven year old mare's second Intermediaire test, the first being at the Dressage Affaire CDI in March. Nick was delighted with her performances over the weekend, "I can't complain. She is now quite comfortable with the PSG test, and is becoming more familiar with the I-I. I really don't want to pressure her, since she is only seven. Her performances at this show made me decide to go ahead and do the freestyle at the Flintridge qualifier in May as we may make the Festival of Champions with these scores."

The pair placed third in Friday's $1,500 Prix St. George leg of the qualifier with a 67.833 percent. In Saturday's I-I they scored a 68. 25 percent. Nick's students were also very successful during Dressage Week at Del Mar. Elizabeth Keadle won the Amateur Prix St. George for three consecutive days, and his student Yvette Pickrell won the Amateur High Point FEI for the show.
