Wellington, FL  The U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) inspection committee approved the new facility for the Global Dressage Festival on Wednesday, February 1 and was pleased with the attention to detail regarding the safety of the horse and with the quality of the facility. The committee also approved the footing developed by Equestrian Services International (ESI), which consists of silica sand, felt, and fiber, following the positive comments made by the test rider. The Wellington Dressage CDI-W, presented by Magnolia Farm, and National Show takes place Thursday, February 2 through Sunday, February 5 at the newly constructed venue that extends the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) show grounds. The show features FEI classes in Grand Prix, Intermediare, and Prix St. George divisions as well as a full complement of classes at the national levels.

General admission and parking are free. Please use the entrance on Pierson Road, then turn right and park in any available space. The net Global Dressage Festival event will be the Global Dressage Festival Florida Dressage Classic CDI February 16-19, where the new facility will be in full swing bringing a new view of Dressage in Wellington.

The Global Dressage Festival (GDF) is one of the world's largest international and national dressage circuits featuring five CDIs, including a 5*, the first non-championship CDIO Nations' Cup in the Western Hemisphere, and nine U.S. national events.

The GDF encompasses almost 60 acres of the former Palm Beach Polo Grounds. The facility includes four outdoor arenas with world class footing and 200 permanent stalls to be ready for the start of the winter circuit. Future planned improvements include a covered arena, permanent covered spectator seating for the central outdoor arena and a permanent Patrons Club.  There are also plans for another 200 permanent stalls.
