On November 4, 2007, Horses Unlimited will host the New Mexico Sport Horse Breeders Auction. While you may think that the land of enchantment is known solely for its Western horses, think again. The auction offerings feature some of the best European bloodlines available anywhere in the world. Whether you are looking for a horse with FEI potential, a solid second level horse or a young horse to bring up the levels, there’s a horse for you.
Breeders Carol Reid of Pembroke Farm, Wanda Hage of Paradigm Sporthorses and Anne Sparks Whitten of Horses Unlimited have put together an impressive collection of horses. With sons and daughters of Noble Champion, Pik L, Mazarin, Glorioso Noir, Stakkato and Lavall II, these horses are bred to move and jump.
“New Mexico isn’t known as hotbed of sport horse activity, but those of us that are involved with producing young horses take it very seriously,” says Whitten.
You have probably seen the results of these breeders’ efforts in show rings around the country. The high-scoring horse at this year’s Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI was Pikturesk, bred by Horses Unlimited. Another Horses Unlimited homebred, Pikko Del Cerro HU, earned the 2005 Born in the USA Award at Dressage at Devon.
In addition to quality horses, there are several other reasons to travel to Albuquerque this November. Financing is available for qualified buyers, and a $500 travel refund will be extended to those buyers whose purchases total $10,000 or more.
Nearly 40 horses will be auctioned by sport horse auctioneer extraordinaire, Jeff Marsh of Eurosport Auctions. Jeff is well known for producing auctions coast to coast for more than 25 years.
