An extraordinary photo shoot portrays the riding stars in their dream jobs!  

Team European Champion, Janne Meyer, on the runway of Hamburg Airport. The World and European Vaulting Champion, Patric Looser, as a member of the Aachen Fire Brigade and the show jumper, Andreas Kreuzer, who surprised everyone by coming third in the Rolex Grand Prix 2011, on the pitch of the Dortmund Football Stadium.

In the current issue of the CHIO Aachen Magazine some of the top equestrian athletes in the world reveal what their career aspirations were when they were children – and the photographer Michael Strauch has captured these impressions.

The painter Hans Wittl ( has been visiting the CHIO Aachen for the past 50 years. The 75-year-old has not only created many of the motifs for the current magazine, but he also painted the cover page.

Monica Theodorescu has placed her focus on the dressage.  On the occasion of the CHIO Aachen 2011, the highly successful international rider has taken on a role as a guest author covering her chosen discipline.

A portrait on the British eventing gentleman, William Fox-Pitt, a review of the CHIO Aachen 2011 and an insight into the history of the event round off the current issue.
