Netherland’s Edward Gal and Totillas Take Dressage Gold at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™

On a mid-week day with an attendance of 31, 026 at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, Edward Gal and his mount Moorlands Totilas won the individual gold for the Netherlands in the Dressage World Championships presented by Alltech.

Great Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer on Mistral Hojris secured the silver medal.

Steffen Peters medaled for the United States, taking bronze. It is believed that this marks the first US individual dressage medal in a world championship.

For Peters, the win was extra meaningful considering his brush with the bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where he ended up taking fourth.
