BIP 2011 - 15 to 17 April – Fontainebleau (France) - The entries are closed now and it will be riders from 6 countries who will start in the biggest pony competition in France, the well known “BIP” as “Bonneau International Pony” show. Germany, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland and of course France will compete in the CSIOP. The Irish team will try to bring the Nations Cup back home again after its fabulous win last year, leaded by its new team chef d'équipe Tom Slattery. But the German squad, which is the European Champion 2010, will struggle with the “Green Jackets” as they've done every time they met in Fontainebleau.
The BIP proposes 16 international classes (6 for the CSIOP, 7 for the CSIP and 3 for the 6 and 7 y.o. young ponies), among which the Derby (CSIP) and the CSIOP Nations Cup on Saturday 16 April afternoon, and the two Grand Prix CSIP and CSIOP on Sunday 17 April afternoon.
At last, the BIP will be the first stage of the European Eycup Pony Challenge (all the classes that count are flaged in the online schedule by a logo). The final will take place this year in Dublin, Ireland.
Beside the international classes, the BIP proposes more than 40 national classes of all levels. To date, 2800 riders are registered! That's why we can say that the BIP is the most important pony show in France!
Vet check on Thursday 14 April afternoon followed by a warm-up reserved to CSIOP riders. Competition starts on Friday 15 April at 8:00am.
