Dickerson, MD – Corta-Flx®, trusted supplier of equine supplements for the world’s leading trainers and competitors, has struck up a new partnership with rising star and U.S. Eventing Association Young Rider, Molly Sherman. The famed company, known for its highly effective joint and gut supplements, recently named the promising young talent as its very first Junior Ambassador.

A born horsewoman, Sherman sat on her first horse before she learned to walk, and has been working to pay for riding lessons and competitions since she was 11 years old. Today, at 17, she continues to build a bright career path while working as a groom for Olympic eventer and Corta-Flx® Ambassador Stephen Bradley. In addition to her unbeatable work ethic and sincere passion for the sport, Sherman is an accomplished competitor, earning multiple coveted titles throughout the course of her budding career.

Among these accomplishments, Sherman was honored with both the USEA Beginner Novice Jr. Rider of the Year and the USEA Area 2 Beginner Novice Jr. Rider of the Year titles in 2012. She then went on to rank third in 2014 as USEA Novice Jr. Rider and 2014 USEA Area 2 Rider of the Year, showing tremendous success at USEA Training Level. Sherman has since earned multiple eventing and dressage championship titles, including the USEA Area 2 reserve championship. During 2015 and 2016, Sherman took another step forward in eventing as she moved well into Preliminary with many wins and top 5 placings, securing a Preliminary 2015 USEA Area 2 Reserve Championship and completed her first CIC*.

Aside from her hard work and dedication to the sport, Sherman credits much of her success to the careful attention she pays to the well being of her horses. “I expect a lot from myself and my horses, and in order to do that, maintaining top condition is a must,” Sherman explained.

“If you want your horse to be world class, you must treat him like a world class horse. Any equestrian discipline requires horses to do wide ranges of movement, and with Corta-Flx®, they have the freedom and fluidity in their joints to perform to the best of their ability. These products have truly done wonders for my horses.”

Sherman went on to explain how the Corta-Flx® supplements had helped her champion pony Bento Box reach his peak performance level. “He was stiff and struggling to keep up with the dressage work we were doing with our coach. After three days of giving him Corta-Flx®, there was a remarkable difference in the elasticity of his gaits. We could see how he was able to flex his joints and have better use of his entire body.” Bento Box went on to become the United States Equestrian Association Pony of the Year in 2012 and 2014.

When asked what advice she would give to other young riders, Sherman emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and positivity. “Don’t let the distractions consume you. As a young rider, there is a lot to handle, from school, to a social life, to people who carry negative energy. If you can focus on your own progress and goals, and surround yourself with positive contacts, you can make an amazing name for yourself in the equestrian world.”

Looking forward, the dynamo rider plans to earn her U.S. Dressage Federation Bronze Medal with 14-year-old Prix St. George horse, Fandango. “He has been with us since he was five years old, and both Corta-Flx® and my mom’s great training made it possible for him to reach this level and strive for more,” Sherman observed.

In addition to supporting Sherman and her horses, Corta-Flx® was also an official sponsor of the 2017 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida, and will go on to be a sponsor of the 2017 Colorado Horse Park summer hunter, jumper, and dressage competition series. A proud supporter of the equestrian community, the company looks forward to working with Sherman to share its mission of promoting equine health and wellness.

In addition to its revolutionary namesake joint supplement, Corta-Flx® also offers a wide range of products to support equine performance, including the gastric supplement U-Gard®, the joint and blood solution Corta-Gen™, Muscle Mass™ for muscle development and growth, and Corta-Flx® solution, powder, pellets, and capsules for dogs.
