Wellington, FL — Men who compete in the dressage arena can attest that shopping for show clothing can be a bit of a hurdle. Given the importance of a good fit — not to mention the sport’s militaristic beginnings — you’d expect there to be a wealth of options available for men. But with tack shops carrying fewer options for men in order to accommodate more colors and prints for women, even everyday breeches can be difficult to find in the correct fit.
But at The Horse of Course, Inc., men won’t feel left out any longer. The popular tack shop recently expanded its options for its male clientele, just in time for those at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival to check out this new “boys’ club” in the Horse of Course’s mobile unit at the Wellington, Florida show grounds.
“We have created a separate space, our Men’s Department,” explained The Horse of Course CEO Beth Haist, an entrepreneur who has operated the successful tack shop since 1995 alongside her husband, expert saddle fitter Marty Haist. Complete with a separate dressing room, this new section of the shop offers a vast array of menswear options from everyday shirts, boots, breeches, and gloves to show coats, shirts, ties, and shadbellys. “We carry Pikeur, Eurostar, Montar, Schockmohler, HKM, B Vertigo, Horze, and Grand Prix, to name a few,” said Haist. “We also offer customization options for show coats and shadbellies.”
With such a range of high-quality products, men are sure to find what they are looking for, with ideal comfort, function, and style that will turn heads in the show ring. The shop’s knowledgeable staff can help everyone find what they need quickly, so riders can spend less time shopping and more time in the saddle.
Competitors eager to dress for success should visit The Horse of Course’s mobile dressage unit, which will be stationed at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival throughout the twelve-week show series. In addition to spending the winter in Florida, the shop spends most of the summer attending and sponsoring horse shows in the U.S. For the mobile tack shop’s schedule or to shop online, visit thehorseofcourse.com.
