Lexington, KY - The Show Jumping Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that Lucy Deslauriers was presented with the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Style of Riding Award as the Junior Jumper Rider at this year's Hampton Classic Horse Show who best exemplified the American style of equitation as modeled by riders like Show Jumping Hall of Famers Joe Fargis, Conrad Homfeld, and George Morris.

To receive the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Style of Riding Award, the recipient must have the respectful, dignified, courteous, and workmanlike manner of a true sportsman. Deslauriers was selected by the Hampton Classic's Jumper Judges and other key personnel as a rider who certainly lives up to the high standards that this award represents.

"We would like to congratulate Lucy on receiving the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Style of Riding Award," said Marty Bauman, Executive Director of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame. "Lucy is a talented rider and exemplifies all the qualities that we look for; she is a well-deserving recipient of this special award."

Deslauriers had six top-ten placings at this year's Hampton Classic Horse Show including a third place finish on Hester in the $25,000 Marders Show Jumping Derby. The Derby is a member event of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series. Deslauriers and Hester currently stand third in the Series' East Conference Junior Division.
