Los Alamitos Enjoys Season High Handle

Los Alamitos Race Course, Cypress, CA - August 1, 2003 - A season high $1,872,619 was wagered on the nighttime racing program Friday at Los Alamitos. The handle is also the 16th highest all-time handle at the Orange County oval, and the best since August 2, 2002. 
 
Friday's nine-race live program featured the season debut of Morning Snow, the winner of the Kindergarten and Ed Burke futurities last year, in the trials to the Golden State Derby. Of the total handle, $345,305 was bet on track. The track's attendance was 2,570. Quarter Horse racing continues at Los Alamitos on a Thursday through Sunday basis. 
 
Saturday's program will be highlighted by the return of Co-World Champion Whosleavingwho, who will look to become a millionaire with a win in the $125,000 Vessels Maturity.
