Local Riders Shine at Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic Opening Weekend

Moreland Hills, Ohio - July 9, 2013 - The Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic was welcomed back to the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in Moreland Hills with three days of exciting local competition. Local riders shone throughout the Schneider Saddlery Opening Weekend, July 5-7. The weekend's competition included three rings of hunter and jumper competition.

Following a successful Opening Weekend, the Riders with Disabilities Horse Show, hosted by Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center, was held on Monday, July 8. This competition featured hours of fun-filled competition and produced hundreds of smiles on the faces of the competitors, their parents, instructors, volunteers, and the spectators. Special Events This Weekend

This coming weekend, July 13-14, features many special events at the Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic. Special events include Family Fun Day (Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) with pony rides, carriage rides, the horseless horse show, face painting, arts and crafts, and many more activities for family members of all ages; the $10,000 International Hunter Derby on Saturday evening; and the historic $30,000 Cleveland Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon, with festivities beginning at 1:30 p.m. and competition beginning at 2:30 p.m.

General admission is free Tuesday, July 9 through Friday, July 12. On Saturday, July 13, adult admission is $5, seniors and students (with valid ID) are $3, and children's admission is free. On Sunday, July 14, adult admission is $10 and seniors/students/children are $5. Classic boxes, tables and single box seats are also available.
