Lisette Thirion Milner and Skydancer

Lisette Milner first saw Skydancer as a 5-year-old in Bremen Germany after a two-year search for "a very special horse". The 18.1 hand Oldenburg Gelding by Larinero out of an Argentinius mare had placed well in the German young horse tests.

"He was just coming 5 years when I first rode him and I could hardly contain my excitement" Milner told dressagedaily. "He was hotter than a firecracker but, so highly intelligent, sensitive and unbelievably expressive that I had to have him."

In 1999, under the tutelage of trainer Michele Gibson, Milner and Skydancer made their debut at Prix St George, Intermediare 1. Going through the Pan American Selection Trials, at 7 years old, they finished in the top 20%. After a full season of competition during Dressage in Florida, they have moved into the top 10% currently standing sixth aiming for the Intermediare Championships to be held at The Festival of Champions at the USET headquarters in June.
