Lipica has been hosting international dressage competitions ever since 1974. Dressage is particularly important to the Lipica equestrian tradition – the Classic Riding School of the Lipica Stud Farm was established over 40 years ago for training Lippizaners in the classic art of dressage. In 2008, Lipica added to dressage and show jumping a new discipline to the list of equestrian competitions in Lipica – driving. Having already organized three successful World Cup qualifiers, Lipica is proud to host the 2011 FEI World Driving Championship in September this year. They are sure, the Driving Championship participants will be able to join the ranks of the countless equestrian athletes who hold fond and happy memories of Lipica.
