After being based in Europe, Canada and the Dominican Republic, Yvonne has a special place in her heart for training and showing in the United States: “My first international shows, and first wins, were in Florida, and I have many, many friends here. People are always extremely helpful and friendly with us, and I missed that very much. I love competing in West Palm Beach and dream of going to Dressage at Devon, which is in my opinion one of the best shows in the world!”

Now, Yvonne and her team have settled in Wellington at the newly constructed [#23876 override="Palm Beach Equine Sports Complex" title="Palm Beach Equine Sports Complex"]. With a busy season about to begin and five CDI dressage shows as well as multiple choices for regional competitions for her horses and students, Yvonne will be able to add a few more clients to her operation.

The Palm Beach Equine Sports Complex offers a new 220 x 90 covered arena with GGT footing (the component that was used in the footing at WEG). There are two designated dressage rings, one being in the new covered arena and the second a regulation ring with Polytrack footing and mirrors that is on the South side of the property. The hunters and jumpers have three additional rings for themselves. With a beautiful 3/4 mile exercise track that is watered and groomed daily, consisting of all weather footing and four-board fenced grass turnout, this first-class training facility owned and managed by the Palm Beach Equine Veterinary Clinic is a full-service oasis just minutes from all major shows.

Yvonne is planning to debut two horses in Grand Prix during the 2010-2011 season in Florida, San Piko, a black Westfalian gelding by Sandro Hit x Pik Labionics and Dondolo Las Marismas, a Danish Warmblood gelding by Don Schufro x Romancier. Both horses will be aimed at qualification for the 2012 FEI World Cup and 2012 Olympic Games. In addition Yvonne will have Royal Affair, a bay Hannoverian gelding by Royal Diamond x Donnerhall at small tour level. “He will be my partner in my attempt to medal for a third time at the Pan American Games, which will take place in October 2011 in Guadalajara, Mexico."

The training and teaching operation runs smoothly thanks to her support team, which includes English barn manager Lisa Trappitt and her Bereiter Samira Uemura, originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, but now riding for the Dominican Republic. “Lisa and Samira are the cornerstones of my team. They are both experienced, dedicated horsewomen who have great experience at international levels. With their support, we are able to provide the best training and teaching environment I have ever been a part of,” explains Yvonne. “We develop specific training and maintenance programs, and we all share the goal of doing our absolute best for our horses and riders.”
