Thursday, 18 August – Sophie Caron (FRA) still in the lead of the CIC*, Lara de Liedekerke (BEL) best at dressage test in the CIC**At the end of the dressage test of the CIC* (114 starters), the French rider Sophie Caron remains ahead of the 113 other participants. But the Australian Paul Tapner is now very close to her with his two mounts, ex aequo (!) at the 2nd place.

The French riders outclass the rankings with 11 riders among the 20 first of the provisional results. The second test, show jumping, started today. The course seems to be a bit technical for some horses and many incurred penalties. But Sophie Caron (FRA) stayed clear and kept the lead. The cross country test will take place tomorrow from 12:00pm.The CIC 2 stars started today with the dressage test. 55 couples already showed in front of the jury, and 30 remain to start on Friday morning. For the moment, the young Belgian lady rider Lara de Liedekerke, on Ucello vd Zuuthoeve, took the lead, 3.3 points ahead of Mark Todd (NZL) and 5.6 points of Felix Vogg (SUI). The end of the dressage test will take place on Friday (8:30am).The CIC3*-W FEI World Cup last leg started today by the vet inspection. All the horses have been accepted and will start on Friday morning at 9:00am. Régis Prud’hon (FRA) will be the first in the arena, and Denis Mesples (FRA) will end the test. Clarke Johnstone (NZL), who is for the moment, in the lead of the FEI World Cup ranking, will show at 9:07am, and his direct opponent Chris Burton (AUS) at 10:42am.
