The 36-year-old Lars Petersen has decided to leave Blue Hors Stud next year. After being Blue Hors's steady dressage rider and trainer for more than eight year, Petersen believes it's time to move on. He agreed to relocate at Sugar Hill Farm in Virginia, USA. Owned by Erwin LePow, Sugar Hill farm had already worked together with Petersen before. "I had a fantastic time at Blue Hors," Petersen said. "My wife Mette has long been dreaming about moving abroad. So when the offer came, it was hard to say no"
Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, the owner of Blue Hors Stud, said that they were very glad for Lars to find such an excellent new position abroad. "His wonderful results in shows opened new opportunities for him. Of course we regret to lose such a great person as Lars, but he agreed to help us find a new replacement for him," Kristiansen said.
