Lake Placid Horse Shows Prize List Now Available Online


Lake Placid, NY - March 25, 2014 - The prize list for the 45th annual Lake Placid Horse Shows Presented by Sea Shore Stables LLC, June 24 -July 13, is now available online. As the Lake Placid Horse Shows will host three weeks of horse show competition for the first time ever this year, the prize list is especially important for competitors and spectators as it contains detailed information about all three weeks.

"Competitors are busy now planning their show schedules for the summer, so having our prize list available to them now is very important," said Richard M. Feldman, Chairman of the Lake Placid Horse Show Association. "We want riders to be aware of what we have planned with our newly expanded three-week schedule and that there will be new footing in all the dirt rings - including both Hunter Rings, the Jumper Annex, and all warm-up rings. The grass Grand Prix Field will remain the same. It's going to be a very exciting horse show!"

The Lake Placid Horse Show will take place June 24-29, highlighted by the $75,000 Devoucoux Grand Prix of Lake Placid on Sunday, June 29. The I Love New York Horse Show will take place July 1-6, highlighted by the $75,000 I Love New York Grand Prix, along with the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. The inaugural Adirondack Horse Show will take place July 8-13, highlighted by the $100,000 Woodlea Farms Adirondack Grand Prix on Saturday, July 12.

One of the premier stops on the nation's hunter-jumper horse show circuit, the Lake Placid Horse Shows feature the nation's best horses and riders competing in four show rings. The horse show features more than 100 classes of competition each week, hosting all levels of competition ranging from young children on ponies to grand prix competitors and Olympic medalists. All three weeks are USEF 'AA' rated for hunters and 6* rated for Jumpers.
