It was ladies day today, with Tina Konyot and her 9-year old Dutch WarmBlood, Irene Kooyman's Justice who won the Grand Prix CDI USET qualifier for the Grand Prix Special, and also topped the field of Intermediare I competitors with Kroongraaf.

Leading the Grand Prix qualifier for the Grand Prix Freestyle was Carrie Schopf and Ikhtisas, a Holsteiner-Thoroughbred cross mare which traveled from their training base in Bremen, Germany to take a shot at the Olympic dream. It came closer to reality today, as they edged out Robert Dover and Rainier for first place.

After their Freestyle, ride to a classical theme on Sunday, Schopf will return to Germany to continue developing their talent. The highest placed American riders will compete in Europe for the final selection of the team to go to Sydney.
