Kentucky Equine Research to Sponsor U.S. Para-Equestrian Dressage Team

Lexington, KY - Para-Equestrian Dressage athletes representing the United States will be getting a first-class introduction to Bluegrass-style hospitality, as Kentucky Equine Research (KER) signs on as the official team sponsor. The Kentucky Equine Research/U.S. Para-Equestrian Dressage Team will consist of ten horse/rider combinations representing the United States in competition during the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, September 25 through October 10.

"Our Para-Equestrian Dressage Team is deeply appreciative of the commitment by Kentucky Equine Research," said Kathy Meyer, SVP of Marketing and Communications at USEF. "We could not be more pleased with the continued support shown by Dr. Joe Pagan and his experienced team here in Kentucky."

KER will be hosting the athletes leading up to and during competition, providing accommodations at their world-class facility in Versailles, Kentucky. There are currently 14 combinations being considered for the final ten slots that will make up the USEF's Definite Entry; the youngest rider is 25 years old, and the eldest is 65.

KER has been a valued sponsor and partner of the USEF and its U.S. Equestrian Teams for more than ten years. They currently hold the exclusive position of "Official Equine Nutritionists of the United States Equestrian Federation." As a front-runner in equine nutrition, research and consulting, KER serves both the horse producer and the feed industry. Its goal is to advance the industry's knowledge of equine nutrition and exercise physiology and apply this knowledge to produce healthier, more athletic horses.
