Wellington, FL - Kasey Perry and Danish Warmblood Goerklintgaards Dublet, affectionately known as Dublet, finished Wellintgon, Florida’s winter dressage show season off strong and won the last Custom Saddlery MVR (Most Valuable Rider) Award of the season. As Custom’s “MVR”, Perry won an MVR Ribbon and a Custom Saddlery saddle pad. Included in their strong season finale was the duo’s individual top finish in the FEI Nations’ Cup Prix St. Georges CDIO3* presented by Stillpoint Farm, with an outstanding 73.816 percent.

“In the warm up he was really hot and bucking and out of sorts, but we got in there and he was perfect the whole time,” Perry commented. “He was right there with me and didn’t miss a beat. It was amazing how he switched his mind and channeled it.” The pair competed as part of USA’s Team 2 during the Nations’ Cup.

Debbie McDonald, Chef d’equipe of United States Team 2, was proud of Perry’s performance. “I was so impressed with her riding today because he was a little naughty in the warm up ring and she just held her nerves together and rode like a pro under pressure,” McDonald said. “I couldn’t have asked more from her.”

Perry hopes their hard work and good scores will lead to the opportunity to compete in the Pan American games, but if not she is happy to head back home to California to focus on the Grand Prix for now.
