Judy Yancey of Yancey Farms (the premier frozen semen import broker) celebrated her birthday on April 24 and while most people celebrate their special day with parties and gifts, Judy decided to do something just a little bit different. Judy teamed up with DressageDaily.com to give a little something back - a Birthday Give Away where hopefuls could enter for a chance to win a dose of frozen semen from a select group of stallions including Ampere (KWPN - Rousseau), Chagall (KWPN - Jazz) and Wynton (KWPN - Jazz) and well as so many more intriguing stallions! Thanks to the help of DressageDaily's Social Media reach creating buzz - 351 entries came in for the chance to win this opprotunity! Well the drawing was held and thanks to Judy's generosity - she did not pick one winner she picked two!

“When I received the phone call from Judy, I couldn’t believe it! I never win contests, and what a great one to win! Judy is so generous to share her Birthday celebration with me! Happy Birthday Judy!” - Audrey

Number One (by Nightfever out of Vreb.Pr.St. Hauptstutbuch Destiny by Dublin) is a beautiful German Riding Pony Mare (also apporved Weser Ems in the U.S.) that was was imported into the states and has been a really awesome producer. Her first foal born in the states, Golden Ticket (Danny Gold), was bought by The Boehning's and went on to earn Best Young Horse Award at Lendons Youth Festival as a 4-year-old! The judge at the Festival Liz Austin, even called me about the pony!

For the past couple breeding seasons I have found Judy Yancey's website and studied the stallions available, but this year I found a drawing too good to be true. After the contest closed I checked my email, no news, I figured it was all over and done. But, while doing the dishes, I got a phone call from my husband with a funny question...."Did you enter me into some kind of drawing?",  "Yes..." I gulped, worried he may have turned them away. "Well...we won." Whoo-hoo! I was jumping up and down, giggling like a school girl. Yes! Vitalis is mine!

All my life I have had "project" horses or "hand me down" horses that struggled with the higher requests to advance in the dressage ring. I am so ecstatic about the opportunity Judy has given me. I hope that Vitalis will be the answer to my Cinderella dressage story. I'm so grateful for all the leg work Judy has put into bringing these Stallions to the U.S. Thank you Judy!

Bandera De Oro "Mia" is a 1997 OTTB registered with the Jockey Club (Bold Ruler lines). She sustained an injury racing so was never sound enough for extensive riding, therefore I used her as a broodmare and she gave me 2 beautiful colts without problems.
