West Palm Beach, FL - Jennifer Benoit and her Danish gelding Fruhlich were all smiles after winning the Intermediaire II class, sponsored by Sho Clothes, at the Gold Coast Dressage Association Opener CDI. Benoit had even more to smile about when she was awarded a cooler by Sho Clothes, an upscale dressage boutique in Wellington that specializes in the latest and most fashionable dressage apparel for show and play. “It’s really an honor to win this award,” Benoit said. “I’m so pleased that Sho Clothes sponsors the class. I’ve known Sho Clothes for quite a while and they have great quality products.”
Benoit, who recently married, found out only days before the show that she had severely herniated a disc in her back. “I wore a back brace but I wasn’t even sure I was going to be able to ride,” Benoit said. “My horse really took care of me.”
Benoit is studying to get her judges license and currently has her “r” license and is working on obtaining her “R.” “Jennifer is a wonderful dressage rider and we were thrilled to award her with the Sho Clothes cooler,” said Betsy Rebar Sell, who co-owns Sho Clothes with Michele Hundt. “We wish her the best of luck with a speedy recovery with her back injury and also congratulate her on working toward earning her judge’s licenses.”
The Sho Clothes award and cooler represents the commitment Sho Clothes has made to the dressage community through the years. The smart looking “logo” on the cooler was designed by Hundt and features Rebar Sell’s horse Wonderful Walden. Rebar Sell and Wonderful Walden were Gold Medalists at the Pan Am Games.
In addition to supporting the dressage community by sponsoring shows, Sho Clothes also hosts a monthly get together for dressage riders called “Shop Talk.” Held the second Tuesday night of each month, “Shop Talk” has become a hot spot for riders to gather with top professionals in the equine industry.
The Sho Clothes Sho Room, located at 3220 Fairlane Farms Road in Wellington, boasts a wide variety of the finest dressage riding clothes, apparel, jewelry and dressage accessories available. For more information visit their website at www.shoclothes.com.
