James Koford and Pharaoh (Hannah Holland Shook and Mitzi Presnell's 13-year old Belgian warmblood gelding by Ferro) had to withdraw from the 2012 REEM ACRA World Cup Dresage Final that will be held in s'Hertogenbosh, the Netherlands from April 18-22 due to a strained tendon that occured during last weeks IHS Champions Cup CDI3* in Loxahatchee, FL. The injury is "no big deal" according to Jim and was caught early by ultrasound on Saturday morning after Pharaoh did not feel right during the Friday Grand Prix. While it is very disappointing, as this was to be Jim's first shot at representing the U.S. in a major championship, Jim's concern is the best interest and welfar of Pharaoh. Shawna Harding of Aiken, SC will step in to represent the U.S.at the World Cup with her 13-year-old Danish bred gelding Come On III (x Come Back II). With such short notice Shawna will need to do some serious fundraising since none of the expense is covered from European organizers for combinations coming to the competition from the North American League Series.

Along with Jan Ebeling and the 15-year-old Oldenburg mare Rafalca (x Argentinius), this will be Shawna Harding and Come On III's second appearance at a World Cup Final where both pairs competed in Leipzig, Germany in 2011.
