Jalisca Solier, the mare that won so many times with Steve Guerdat just like she did tonight in the Prix Tousserok, is treated as if she was almost retired. Steve only rides her in competitions where she feels comfortable.
This brings about good results, as it seems, the couple beats the german Christian Ahlmann and Lorena by 66 hundredths of a second: “Yes it is a pleasure to see the mare being so potent in a beautiful class like tonight. She finishes up her career in a very amazing and memorable way: in Saint-Gall, she also won a wonderful class at 1.50m.”
The owner, Yves Piaget, witnessed the victory. “No matter if he’s there physically or not, I always feel his support when I compete. Today his presence was physical, which is even better”, says Guerdat.
Prix Tousserok indicates that the Swiss rider also won a one-week stay in the superb aquatic palace on Mauritius, but “I am not someone who enjoys holidays that much, and I don’t even know if I will have the time for such a long stay.”
