"I don't even know where to begin when explaining the impact Belinda Nairn-Wertman has had on me.” In the summer of 2006, Anna arrived as a 16-year old working student along with a Friesian gelding named Tsjesse at Belinda's Inspo Farm in Kirkwood, PA. Marek had been riding Tsjesse for his owner Nancy Murphy in MI. The horse had originally come from Belinda and when Marek’s own horse got injured Murphy introduced Marek to Belinda for the working student position.
With Nairn’s guidance, Tsjesse and Anna moved up to do PSG. The next summer (2007), Anna returned as a working student with Tsjesse. The winter of 2009/2010 Anna joined Belinda in FL with a different horse, Unico G.
“Obviously, her training has made a huge impact on me but more importantly I came to really love her as a person. She took me when I knew nothing and helped me, always showing me respect and put the time into really helping me along. I idolize her for many reasons; for what she's done competitively, her devotion to the horses, and the fact that you will never meet someone more down to earth.”
Mentor and student continue their working relationship in Marion County, where Nairn has moved her Inspo Farm operation permanently south a few miles from A.J. Stapleton’s barn where Anna manages the sale horses.
