Equestrians Aids Foundation Presents a Benefit Concert April 22, at “The Joint” Hard Rock Hotel
Robert Dover sent word to DressageDaily that the concert in Las Vegas on April 22nd which will be held after the first round of jumping is selling out fast.
Sponsored by Karin Reid Offield of Offield Farms, and Show Circuit Magazine, the concert headliner is Ben Harper who will be joined by host, Robin Leach as well as Sherry Belafonte, the hit group Avion along with Jenna Wyatt and others to be announced.
Guests already include many celebrities from the show business world as well as highly placed political figures that will enter on the red carpet with press from television and journalists from around the world.
This event benefiting the Equestrian AIDS Foundation and the Lili Claire Foundation which help children with neurogenetic diseases such as Williams Syndrome, Autism and Downs Syndrome.
Robert Dover, the six time Olympian who finished fifth at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games Founded the Equestrian Aids Foundation in 1996 “to provide financial support to individuals in the equestrian community afflicted with HIV or AIDS. We are here to help those in need during what is undoubtedly the most difficult period of their lives - to let them know that their friends care about them and want to improve the quality of their lives.”
The Foundation operates on a very small administrative budget in order to provide the majority of funds donated to those in need. Dover has recently announced his foundation has expanded to cover individuals who suffer other afflictions as well.
