How It All Began

Pati Pierucci - FEI Rider, Trainer, Clinician

Born in Owensboro, KY, Pati grew up in Louisville, then New Jersey. "I don't remember a moment I woke up not thinking about horses," she says. She has ridden everything from Western and hunt seat to eventing. Taking care of horses when she was young, she kept doing well in the dressage at events and realized that was her thing.

At a very young age Pati was taking care of others horses, caring for their feed and maintenance. “I had various jobs running barns, from the age of 15 to 25 years.” Pati recalled. “Barclay Farms was a big turning point for me, it is a very large barn in Southern, NJ. I galloped their race horses first thing in the morning, and then ran the lesson program as the head instructor.” Pati became very interested in the over all care of a large farm operation, and went to Harcum Jr. College for equine studies, majoring in overall farm administration and breeding, from there she ran Laurel Meadow Farm in NJ. Pati then moved to Virginia to run Rivers Bend Farm for 12 years.
