Innovative online equestrian competition, clinic, and coaching website HorseShow.com is proud to congratulate competitors at the recent USEF Dressage Seat Medal Finals, held in conjunction with the Paragon Dressage Show & CDI in Estes Park, CO, August 15 - 18, 2013.  During the Finals (which is the nation's elite equitation competition for dressage), three riders who used HorseShow.com's online video evaluation service went on to earn Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals. As a proud sponsor of the Paragon Dressage Show and CDI, HorseShow.com offered all Medal Finalists and equitation riders a special opportunity: prior to the event, they could submit videos into a free online clinic with FEI "I" and esteemed Dressage Seat Equitation judge Janet Foy, who evaluated the practice performances and provided feedback via voiceover commentary as to how those riders could improve their scores and perform at their best at the Finals.  This extra practice and expert advice paid off. Mickayla Frederick of Johnston, IA  rode "Wrainer Q" to a dominating score of 85% to earn the Gold Medal in the 14-18 Division.

She believes that using HorseShow.com to help her prepare contributed to her earning her first National Title. "I am really glad that I submitted a video of my riding to HorseShow.com," said Frederick. "The process of submitting the video and reviewing the commentary was very easy to do. Both my trainer, Lisa Royal, and I thought the feedback from Janet Foy was very helpful. It was an honor to win the Finals, and I feel like the video was an important training aid that helped me to prepare for them."

In the 13 & Under division, Silver Medalist Mackenzie Perez of Fort Worth, TX submitted a practice video to HorseShow.com, and rode "Eli Sheva" at the Finals to a score of 82%. In addition, Asia Ondaatje Rupert also took advantage of HorseShow.com's free online clinic prior to traveling across the country from Greenwich, CT to ride "Genuine Gem" to the Bronze Medal on 77%. "I never expected to do as well as I did, but I was really happy with it," said a thrilled Rupert. "Before the show, I had never used anything like HorseShow.com before, but I'd really like to use it again because it was so helpful and easy to use. The comments from Janet were really helpful. She said some things that I've heard before but she said them in a new way, and it really helped me to get a new perspective. She also pointed out small things about my posture that make a big difference and really made sense, and which stayed with me right into the ring."

HorseShow.com judge Janet Foy was in attendance at the Finals and was pleased with what she saw. "I thought all the kids were super-high quality this year, and I was very impressed with the overall good sportsmanship from them and the parents and coaches," said Foy. "I noticed definite improvements in some of the riders at the Finals who submitted videos ahead of time, and I was thrilled to see HorseShow.com saddle pad on the winners.  I felt I had a small part in helping them reach their dreams!"
