Devon, PA (September 20, 2012) – Dressage at Devon, a premier North American equestrian event, opens with their three-day Breed Division featuring more than 30 breeds competing for top titles. The USDF Breeders Championships East Coast Series Finals and the Born in the USA Breeders Awards are among the highlights of the show’s first days. This year’s show, September 25-30, also features the first Foal Championship ever to be held in the United States. From foals to Freestyles, Dressage at Devon has it all -- including The Horse of Course which has become the “Breed Show Specialists” for the past 2 years at Devon. “We are very excited to be the place to shop at Devon for everything horses and riders will need while competing in the Breed Show,” said Beth Haist, of The Horse of Course, Inc. Thanks to a special arrangement with Vespucci from World Equestrian Brands and Windsor Equestrian, The Horse of Course will offer a complete line of halters, leather leads, bridles, bits and more.
“We will have everything needed for competing in the Breed Show,” Haist said. “The Dressage at Devon Breed Show is the largest open breed show in the world and we are thrilled to be part of it. Our shop will be located in the same spot as last year, just as you enter the ingate of the Dixon Oval. It’s amazing non-stop action – stop by and visit us.”
The show takes place on the historic and charming Devon Horse Show Grounds and not only features the Breed Show and Olympic level competition but also Fall Festival shops and special activities for the entire family. “In addition to the breed show, Dressage at Devon features international and Olympic level dressage riders in world class competition. We make sure we have everything competition and spectators want on hand,” Haist said.
As a way to honor and support all of the competitors, The Horse of Course is not only a sponsor but will also offer wonderful specials throughout the show. “We are going to have a big Pikeur Sportswear sale that I know everyone will love,” Haist said, adding that they will also feature a tack sale, USG breeches sale and a saddle pad sale. “We will also have several miscellaneous sales racks during the show – so there will be something for everyone.”
The Horse of Course is an avid supporter of shows and events across the country. Based in Claremore, Oklahoma, their mobile store travels the nation offering everything for the discriminating equestrian. From show supplies, bridles, saddles, and saddle pads to fashionable equestrian attire, breeches, jackets, shadebellys and accessories, The Horse of Course is a favorite stop for many of the nation’s dressage riders.
“My husband, Marty Haist, is a master saddle fitter and he will be at Dressage at Devon, ready and able to meet your saddle and leather needs,” she said. “Marty can fit and flock saddles or if, for example, you need a crown piece made smaller for a young horse, Marty is the one to visit.”
The Haist’s travel the country catering to their clients needs and decking out horses and riders in world class fashion, including these well-known lines: Gersemi, Laurel Burch, Pikeur, Ariat, Kentucky, Goode Rider, Red Barn, Vespucci, Ovation, Intec, Kerrits, Romfh, Pure Lime, USG, B//Verdigo, and Windsor. “We also carry the HV-Polo line which has been a big hit with our riders. The line offers stylish fun polo shirts, jackets and breeches with crested embroidery, microfiber cottons in the latest fashion colors from Germany. A highlight of this line is the matching coordinates for your horse including blankets, coolers and saddle pads.”
