With over 200 days on the road, a new property in Kentucky, and a busy 2006 season about to begin, we are nestled in our Florida home and office for the holiday season.
I love this time of year, not just because of the holidays, but it is a relatively quiet time, when we catch up on web work, prepare for the New Year, and reflect on the one just gone by. It is also a time when our wonder woman Tracey Scharf who manages our office and much of the insurance work, takes 2 weeks off, and the rest of our busy staff gets a break. So it is myself the “boss mare” Mary Phelps, here at home to hold down the fort. We are never really closed for business, as this is often the time of year busy horsepeople are also home long enough to tend to their tasks before hitting the road and shows. And we are here to help.
There are lots of new horses being added to families across the country, and the phone are ringing off the hook with questions about insurance, and applications to process. Our insurance tour makes the process smooth and easy, and you can also download most applications from our website. We are busy working on updates for our Who’s Who members, renewing in January, and adding new ones in the works. And there are new horses to add to horsemarket almost daily. We have an exciting new year coming up with new shows added to our 2006 schedule, and of course the 2006 World Equestrian Games in August.
