San Marcos, CA - Helen McNaught of San Ramon, CA, who proudly uses Equine Matrix products to help horses reach their maximum potential, rode Alison Heafey’s Lariccello to victory over a 24-horse field in the $50,000 EMO Grand Prix at HITS Thermal on January 29. McNaught, who also placed ninth on her own Caballo, was joined in the ribbons by fellow Equine Matrix riders Duncan McFarlane and Michelle Parker.  McFarlane placed fourth on Simone Cox’s Mr. Whoopy and Parker was seventh on Tula Pinnella’s Xel Ha.

McNaught, who also finished second and fourth in HITS’s $25,000 Grand Prix two days earlier, credits Equine Matrix with helping her horses perform better.  "With Equine Matrix, we feed less grain, and the horses maintain their weight and energy during the rigors of showing, traveling and training,” she said.  “For the horses that need it, we have found the Muscle Matrix has a huge benefit in keeping the horses well toned and fit.”

Parker also joined McNaught in the ribbons for the $25,000 Grand Prix, placing seventh on Cross Creek Farms’ Socrates De Midos.  That class was the first of this year’s West Coast qualifiers for HITS’s $1 Million Grand Prix.  McNaught is a veteran of that class, having appeared in 2010 and again last year when McFarlane took the show jumping world by storm with a second-place finish on Mr. Whoopy.  McFarlane also credits Equine Matrix for the success of his horses.

“After Equine Matrix asked me to try their products on Caballo, I saw a big difference in just a matter of days," McNaught said.  "I then put all my horses on it and as soon as Duncan saw the results with Caballo and Lariccello, he put Mr. Whoopy on the program as well."

Not only are Equine Matrix products effective, but they are also safe.  Equine Matrix products have gone through extensive testing in the FEI Lab and they have FEI anti-doping certification.  This was originally done at the request of the German Equestrian Team but is now a significant benefit for all competitive horses.  Equine Matrix is available at www.EquineMatrix.com , as well as at FarmVet, Equine Tack & Nutritionals, Palm Beach Equine and other tack stores.
