Another Decisive Performance for Second Successive Win with Top Score of the Day
Heather Blitz pulled off another influential performance on her 7 year old Danish Warmblood gelding Paragon to easily win the Prix St George at the Wellington Spring Classic on February 12th, 2010. This was their second victory in as many shows following their Prix St George win two weeks ago. Their score of 76.8% topped the leaderboard from a field of 79 entries and was easily the best score of the day on Friday at the Jim Brandon Arena, which was hosting both CDI and national competitions. "Paragon really earned every point that he received in the test," said Heather. "I am so impressed that he just isn't bothered by anything at all."

Heather and Paragon made their U.S. debut last month with a convincing win at the Wellington Sunshine Classic where they scored 71.5%. With just two weeks more training their score already improved significantly to reflect the increasing quality of their test.
"I couldn't be more proud of Paragon and the maturity with which he is responding to his work," Heather noted. "We have only been in training here for a couple of months since he arrived from Denmark so this is a very encouraging start to the season. Obviously his future is very bright, which is exciting, so it's important to stay focused on our program."
Paragon's next show will be the Palm Beach Derby on March 5-6th where, in addition to the Prix St. George, he will also be making his debut in the Intermediare I
