Wellington, FL – Dressage trainer Heather Bender and Renaissance Lady were riding in style at the Gold Coast Dressage Association Finale, winning the USEF Training Level Test 3 with a 73.400% and the FEI Equivalent YH Test of Choice with a 70%. Bender and Renaissance Lady, owned by John Flanagan, also took home the PanaCavallo Style Award at the show, sponsored by PanaCavallo, the makers of bridles and leather goods, in partnership with Cavalleria Toscana, an elegant line of Italian equestrian clothing.

"The reason Renaissance Lady is so beautifully turned out is thanks to my groom and barn manager. I have a lot of support from my barn and this award really goes to them. I have a super groom and an incredible barn manager,” Bender said. “They do such a great job of grooming all of my horses. Keeping horses looking great in South Florida can be tricky, but the reason my horses and I look good out there is because of them.”

Bender, who operates out of Treasure Coast Dressage, has been riding and training for more than four decades and is a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist. Bender has won numerous National awards, Scholarships and has been a member of several USEF and USET teams including two Pan Ams, two Olympic Festivals, and was selected to represent the United States on Winwood in the 2000 Young Horse World Championships in Arnhem, Holland.

Bender was thrilled to win the PanaCavallo Style Award and thanked owner Michael Davis for sponsoring the award. “Heather looked great, as did her horse, and we were pleased to present her with the Style Award and one of our new chin pads, created with the horse’s comfort in mind. They are leather with high density foam that disperses the pressure off the chin.”

The chin pads from PanaCavallo have quickly become a “must have” item on the dressage circuit and Davis is pleased that they are beneficial to horse and rider. “We truly believe that the horse’s comfort is of the utmost importance,” Davis said. “PanaCavallo also has a line of bridles, sold through Trilogy Saddlery. They are available in four styles and offer superb quality and workmanship that enhances the comfort of the horse. An exciting fact about our new line of PanaCavallo bridles is that we offer semi-custom fittings to ensure proper fit for the horse. This is an option not offered by any other bridle distributor in the United States. Each horse is measured and the different sizes and models are mixed to create a bridle that works best on that particular horse,” Davis said.

PanaCavallo has partnered with Cavalleria Toscana, a line of elegant and modern Italian equestrian apparel, to bring the ultimate in beauty, form and function to both horse and rider.  Cavalleria Toscana’s selection of riding apparel is as functional as it is fashionable, featuring avant-garde fabrics combined with unique style and cut to make them excellent for riding.
