Happy New Year! The 2009 Tour Has Begun

We set off New Year's Eve from our Kentucky location and are writing this before setting off on the final leg of our journey to our home base in De Leon Springs, Florida. We are caravanning with two trucks and trailers.

Buddy's trailer (our driving pony) is filled with furniture. We even managed to fit our 4-wheeler on the back of the red truck, in hopes of doing some exploring in the Ocala National Forest this winter. Buddy will be traveling tomorrow in style in Jim Welsh's Elite Horse Transport van. We hear from Jimmy that Buddy will be stopping in Georgia and adding some of Karen Lipp's horses to the load.

We're set and ready to go with our first show of the season - Wellington Classic Dressage Challenge 1, where we will be launching the Markel Amateur Challenge 2009. Our RV sponsored by RV Sales of Broward will be a familiar place for competitors to visit, sign up for photos, and relax in our massage chair.

Check out our full schedule of on the scene coverage planned for 2009.

JJ and I celebrated last night early with lobster dinner at our halfway stop in Dalton, Georgia (we break the trip us into two easy days). Stay tuned for an exciting and busy year of great coverage, profiles, horses and properties for sale, as our team is putting the finishing touches on the new DressageDaily launching next week.

Gotta get going, Happy New Year to all!!
