Great Britain's Laura Tomlinson Expecting First Child

What could be better than a winning triple World Silver and four European medals with your own horse? Maybe taking home Olympic Team Gold and Indivdual Silver on your home turf? Maybe it actually has nothing to do with equines at all (at least not this time!). Great Britian's Laura Tomlinson (formerly Bectolsheimer) will now be adding a new family member and this time it is not going to be living in the stable. Laura and her husband, polo player Mark Tomlinson have announced that they are expecting their first child in July 2014! The couple who were married in a ceremony, March 2, 2013 in Arosa, Switzerland are very excited about the news! She even joked with British Dressage saying - "Terrifying but true, T and B genes have been mixed and I'm sure what ever comes out will be harder to train than any horse!"

With the retirement of her own Mistral Hojris, she now turns her attention to three up and coming Grand Prix horses. Laura plans to continue to train and compete until she is no longer comfortable to ride. We will look forward to following the couple on this new journey and wish them the best of luck!
