Grand Cypress Equestrian Center To Host Dressage Show

Orlando, FL --- Grand Cypress Equestrian Center, the first facility in the United States to be "Approved" by the prestigious British Horse Society for livery and training, will host a Dressage Show September 28, 2002. Brigitte Simmons 'R" from Sanford, North Carolina will judge.

At the show, the Equestrian Center will offer for the first time National Disability Sports Alliance (NDSA) Dressage Tests. The NDSA Equestrian offers national and international competition opportunities and training for riders with physical disabilities. Four classes or 'grades' are available for these riders. The classes or 'grades' range from those with disabilities that allow them to compete walk only, to those that ride tests similar to USA Equestrian's third or fourth level tests.

"We are thrilled to provide NDSA testing. There's even a rider coming all the way from Kansas to compete in the NDSA competition. That's exciting for us," said Liz King, director of the Equestrian Center.
